Sitting pretty at a generous 266.63 ft – superyacht guests will find 6 spacious cabins, room for 12 of their elite entourage, and a crew of 26 to man the highly polished decks. M/Y Alfa Nero is the lovechild of Oceanco – who built her in 2007, Nuvolari & Leonard – who designed her striking exterior, and Alberto Pinto – who pieced together her pop-art interior. She was last refitted in 2017, making her shiny and new for the seven seas.
The swimming pool is the piece de resistance of the amazing Alfa Nero’s on deck Beach Club. An infinity pool with a glass aft end, it’s a dreamy design for feeling as though the pool melds into the horizon of the ocean. The pool is a pure example of how much thought has gone into the divine design of this yacht. Boasting a floor that can be raised to make it shallow for those families with children. The moveable swimming pool floor can even be raised fully – swiftly transforming it into a decadent dance floor or helicopter landing pad.
It’s clear that M/Y Alfa Nero was designed to give guests more than enough space to soak up views of the Cinque Terre. The vast decks seem to cascade down sweeping stairwells offering endless corners for soaking up the sun, dining al fresco style, or sipping cocktails in complete revelry.
Inside, Pinto has created a chic and modern space that pulls together threads of pop art and blended it beautifully with an edged nautical theme apparent in the palate of white and blue that ebbs throughout. The saloon is a vision of glass, handcrafted furnishings, grand piano, and oversized sofas.
As you move through the yacht – a desire for decadent living gleams through, from the glass elevator to the upper deck cinema space, the signature spa with massage room, and the impressive circular dining space. There are actually three different dining spots to suit both casual and formal moods, and the dance room and piano ensure that Alfa Nero is well-equipped for starlit nights of entertainment.
All of the six individually designed cabins are utterly unique – boasting ensuites, sublime seating areas, and buttery soft colored leathers that are a firm reminder of the Italian design roots. The master stateroom is a heavenly hideaway. Occupying the entire forward front of the upper deck, you can expect a private terrace with a bubbling jacuzzi, circular wall of windows for watching the ocean, and marble and cherry wood bathroom with spa features.
It’s no wonder that this sublime superyacht has been the recipient of endless awards and accolades. From Best Interior Styling and Best Exterior Design from Boat International to Most Innovative Yacht in 2007. Even in the last decade, she hasn’t lost her wow factor. M/Y Alfa Nero is available for charter in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
